Condé Nast Readers Give High Marks to Hawaiian’s Service
HONOLULU – Oct. 28, 2008 - Hawaiian Airlines is the top-rated airline serving Hawaii and the fourth-highest ranked airline nationwide, according to the findings of the 2008 Readers’ Choice Survey published by Condé Nast Traveler magazine.

“Being rated highest of all carriers serving Hawaii is testament to the efforts of our employees to make Hawaiian’s service special,” said Mark Dunkerley, Hawaiian’s president and CEO.

Hawaiian’s signature ‘Hawaii Starts Here’ inflight service resonated with travelers to the islands. From the moment they board, customers are treated to a showcase of Hawaii’s culture, people, natural beauty, and unique way of life through music, and cuisine, as well as its award-winning magazine, Hana Hou! and inflight video program, Hawaiian Skies. Hawaiian’s commitment to perpetuating the tradition of Hawaii hospitality is seen in the airline’s complimentary meal service as designed by Beverly Gannon, the renowned chef and Maui restaurateur.

More than 32,000 respondents took part in the survey and rated their experiences with domestic and international travel providers, including airlines, hotels, cruise lines, islands, resorts, and car rental agencies. Airlines were rated on their cabin comfort, cabin service, entertainment options, food and beverages, and ticketing and ground services.

Condé Nast Traveler is one of the travel industry’s most highly regarded publications appealing to world travelers. The full list of awardees for the 2008 Readers’ Choice Survey will be featured in the November issue.
